The Inaugural Black Restaurant Week Kicks Off in Augusta, Ga July 20

The city of Augusta, Ga. will host it’s first Black Restaurant Week from July 20-25, 2021. The week long event will highlight Black owned restaurants in the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) and highlight their socioeconomic impact to their area. Black owned restaurants were greatly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, but were largely overlooked when it came to receiving relief.

Guests who tag selfies with #augustarestaurantweek are eligible to win an exclusive package from host partners Growing Augusta: Arts, Agriculture, & Agency; Urban Pro Weekly; and Pop-Up Augusta! (WRDW)

The Inaugural Augusta Black Restaurant Week: July 20-25, 2021, celebrates African-American-owned restaurants and eateries and the role they play in socioeconomic progress in the South. Participating restaurants develop offers individually – whether a signature menu item, discount, or an unexpected celeb photobomb. Like the cuisine, each restaurant experience is unique. (ARW)
