My Sergio Hudson x Target Wishlist

The fashions are coming! The fall designer collection form Target is coming soon! Sergio Hudson announced his upcoming collection with the big box retailer and I have my wish list ready! Check out the collection video and which pieces I have my eyes on.

Dresses with Endless Possibilities

I love a great dress! I’m a dress girl more than anything, as I feel most comfortable in them. I enjoy statement dresses in solid colors or neutral patterns because it allows me to mix and match with other colors and patterns. These by Sergio Hudson serve as the perfect foundation for statement jewelry, bold accent colors, and patterns.

Versatile Basics

I love a colorful basic piece like this turquoise turtleneck. It can be worn casually or dressed up.

I’m a sucker for an animal print and this zebra print blouse is a satin like fabric is right up my alley. I wear blouses like this with skinny jeans and stilettos or with a pencil skirt or slacks.

Statement Coats

The coats in this collection are divine! Just because it’s cold doesn’t mean you have to stick to neutral outerwear. Jewel tons are surprisingly versatile and often go with most if not all other jewel tones. The deep rich purple pea coat can get more wear than you think and I can plans for it already.

The large houndstooth printed coat is perfect as a statement in its in or to compliment a pop of color underneath.

Black Designers You Should Know: Nathaniel Noir

Nathaniel Noir, a Black luxury goods designer behind the brand Noir-X Apparel based in Canada, is a designer you need in your radar. He designs structured handbags of varying sizes and textures such as crocodile, python, ostrich, iridescent color ways, and vegan leather. He offers sophisticated pieces that can definitely become staples in anyone’s collection while also offering fun handbags in various patterns.

I cannot tell you how I initially came across his account, but when I saw the Python Blue Chrome bag in the medium, I was hoooked! The bag was both metallic and iridescent with blue and green colors so when it hit the light, it shined, okay?! I had to have it! Well so did everyone else because this was last spring and it quickly sold out! I thought I lost out on the bag, but then this summer, it was re-released and I snatched it up quickly! Check out my unboxing and initial reaction below .

Since acquiring the Python Blue Chrome handbag, I snagged another coveted beauty, the Python Liquid Gold also in the medium size. Isn’t she a beauty? The orange and gold tones are a perfect pop to any ensemble for the upcoming fall season. This bag with brown or emerald green?! I can’t wait!

I currently have my eye out for the re-release of the Vitro Chrome in medium. Check her out below. Isn’t she gorgeous?

I have found my sweet spot in styles of handbags that work for me and they are structured , medium sized, with top handles and feet. The ones I received from Noir-X check all of those boxes. However , if the medium is too large for you or not large enough, many of the offerings come in mini and jumbo sizes as well.

The price range is what I would consider mid-tier accessible ranging from $270-$660. However, many of the styles are often and currently steeply discounted. The bags shown above retailed for $480 but are discounted to $150.

I’m not done with Mr. Nathaniel Noir yet, my wishlist includes:

1. Purple Jumbo Python

2. Jewel Green Jumbo Python

3. Monaco Red Jumbo Python

Product Highlight: Loewe Nail Polish Leather Mules

I love kitschy accessories, especially when they are fashion and beauty related. I came across these nail polish heel mules by Loewe and fell in love. I love the understated simplicity of the black mule with two thin straps and when you turn to the side you see the heel fashioned like red nail polish.

I don’t know about you, but growing up red nail plush was a classic color…for adults. You had to come into age to where the color red, like a right of passage. Naturally, because it was forbidden, I would always try and wear it. I was allowed pinks and even deep burgundy, but the coveted glossy blue-based red was off limits. As an adult, I knew got a clear answer why. Hmmm.

Fashion News: The Date is Released for Jenee’s of High Low Luxxe Amazon Drop Collection + Collection Preview

One thing I have enjoyed watching is the positive reception Black content creators have been getting on their Amazon the Drop collections. So much so, a few, including Jenne’ have gone on to design multiple Drops. It shows that what Black people create reaches diverse audiences and the Black dollar is green and spends too! Jenee’ announced on her Instagram that her long awaited collection will be available this Tuesday, April 19, 2022! This is typical of Drop collections as you are only notified a few days ahead of time.

Staying true to her style aesthetic, the collection’s theme is elevate simplicity. There are two long sleeve midi dresses featuring slits and open backs. The lack of embellishments on the garments allow for the multi-functionality of the pieces. Wear with stilettos or sneakers and both will look fab.

The tailored trousers are a dream! Coming in both lavender and khaki, either pair can be a staple into the summer. Throw a chunky sweater on top or a fitted turtle neck or body suit and they can carry you into fall and winter. The asymmetrical front zipper adds interest the the wide legs adds sophistication. Chef’s kiss.

I normally don’t teach for a jumpsuit as I am partial to dresses, but I understand the draw. I even have one or two in my closet. Jumpsuit lovers love them for the same reason I love dresses, they’re easy, comfortable, one piece, and can be dressed up or down. This khaki jumpsuit Jenee designed is elevated with the collar and appears backless which adds sex appeal. It cinches in at the waist and also is wide legged. I love the fact that is does hug the body and gives you room.

Product Highlight: Denim Yoyo Mule by Nine West

Denim is back! Not as in denim jeans and jackets, but accessories too. Denim corsets, handbags, and shoes are making waves this season. Enter the Yoyo mule by Nine West. The mule encompasses a few trends seamlessly in one. First, the mule style itself that we’ve been seeing for several seasons thanks to the Bottega mules 2. Speaking of Bottega, the style is reminiscent of the luxury brand’s coveted mules in the square toe, the weaving of the patchwork denim, and the curved heel, and 3. The patchwork denim on the toebox incorporates different washes of denim which adds interest and increases the shoes wearability.
